Curating Grow Op

We’re excited about the upcoming seventh edition of Grow Op opening next week at the Gladstone Hotel, our fourth in the role of curators. This year’s show is the biggest yet, with over 25 projects across all four floors of the hotel. It’s a jam packed exhibition with events happening each day, April 17th through the 21st, encouraging participants to engage with the artists in the critical dialogues taking place around climate, landscape, and ecology.

Grown Op

The fifth annual Grow Op 2017 wrapped up earlier this month, an incredible exposition of contemporary art exploring themes of landscape, ecology and design that we co-curated, taking over all 4 floors of the Gladstone Hotel. Thanks to the amazing work of the 39 participating artists who created 30 innovative projects that engaged and enlightened visitors over the course the show.

Catch up on some of the coverage in Azure Magazine, Toronto Life, GROUND, and Canadian Architect.

In the Library

LeuWebb Projects’ new photography exhibition Unpacking the Stacks is on display for the month of April at the Don Mills branch of the Toronto Public Library.

The project examines the book as a vessel of culture, language and identity and searches for the book’s place in a fluid information landscape. Take a trip to “Canada’s First Planned Community” and see Unpacking the Stacks before its gone.

Workplace Affairs Opening

We’ve put together a show for this year’s Toronto Design Offsite Festival titled Workplace Affairs and are looking forward to the opening this coming Saturday.

Workplace Affairs is an exploration of the relationship of space to the creative process. The exhibition runs Saturday January 19 to Sunday January 27, 2013 at East of Keele.

Curated and photographed by LeuWebb Projects, the exhibition gives visitors a peek into the creative spaces of a selected group of local artists; examining artefacts of production and documenting the workspaces that enabled their creation.

Featuring the work and workplaces of Melissa Fisher, Patrick Svilans, Joy Charbonneau, Lizz Aston, Patrick Yeung, Clayton McMaster and Jyhling Lee.
